If this is a false positive, meaning that your access to your own site has been limited incorrectly, then you will need to regain access to your site, go to the Wordfence “options” page, go to the section for Rate Limiting Rules and disable the rule that caused you to be blocked. For example, if you were blocked because it was detected that you are a fake Google crawler, then disable the rule that blocks fake google crawlers. What Does A Businessowners Policy (BOP) Cover? #what #does #general #liability #cover

What Does A Businessowners Policy (BOP) Cover?

Insurance companies selling business insurance offer policies that combine protection from all major property and liability risks in one package. (They also sell coverages separately.) One package purchased by small and mid-sized businesses is the businessowners policy (BOP). Package policies are created for businesses that generally face the same kind and degree of risk. Larger companies might purchase a commercial package policy or customize their policies to meet the special risks they face.

BOPs include:

  1. Property insurance for buildings and contents owned by the company — there are two different forms, standard and special, which provides more comprehensive coverage.
  2. Business interruption insurance, which covers the loss of income resulting from a fire or other catastrophe that disrupts the operation of the business. It can also include the extra expense of operating out of a temporary location.
  3. Liability protection, which covers your company’s legal responsibility for the harm it may cause to others. This harm is a result of things that you and your employees do or fail to do in your business operations that may cause bodily injury or property damage due to defective products, faulty installations and errors in services provided.

BOPs do NOT cover professional liability, auto insurance, worker’s compensation or health and disability insurance. You’ll need separate insurance policies to cover professional services, vehicles and your employees.

Business Liability Insurance Quote Questions – Nationwide #liability #insurance #quote, #general #liability #insurance #quote,

#

The general liability insurance quote: key questions

So you’ve decided to get a liability insurance quote to protect your business. Your agent, in order to help you secure a policy best suited to your needs, will need to ask a few questions to gain better insight into your business. So be prepared to open your books and answer some detailed questions about your company, who you are and what you do. This will make it easy for them to write you a policy with the right amount of coverage.

You’ll be asked about the type of company you run, how many people you employ, the area where your business is located, and have an open discussion of your company’s revenues and future projections. Our advice is to always be forthright and as transparent as possible – so the quote and policy will accurately reflect the realities and risks of your business.

Typical questions for a general liability insurance quote

Beyond the standard questions, here are some details you may be asked during the quote process:

  • Social Security number or Federal Tax ID number – to obtain a credit check
  • Declaration page of your current general liability insurance policy (if you have one) to give the agent an idea of your new or changing insurance needs
  • Any prior losses your company has experienced. Keep in mind that a loss doesn’t necessarily mean your premium will be higher. (Nationwide, for example, evaluates each customer and loss event on a case-by-case basis)
  • List of company officers and their positions if different from the owners of record. Be ready to discuss how much experience your senior executives have in the industry and at your company. Typically, the longer and more successful the company’s overall record, the better the risk for the insurer – and the lower the premiums
  • Annual sales and payroll, along with a breakdown of the number full-time and part-time employees, and if you employ any subcontractors or consultants
  • Depending on the type of business, you may be asked about your building space and the total area of the building you occupy
  • Details about the products you handle – especially if you’re in the retail, wholesale or manufacturing sectors. Companies in the service and construction industries will need to share the details of current and future operations

You can always rest assured that any information you provide to the agent for your general liability insurance quote will be kept confidential. As a matter of liability, that’s the promise we in the insurance industry keep for our clients – including you.

Divisions

Criminal:

The Criminal Division of the Department of Justice is responsible for the prosecution of criminal cases throughout the State from misdemeanors to murders. Its mission is to represent the State in criminal cases, and in so doing safeguard the human rights of victims and their families and the constitutional rights of defendants. This responsibility includes the preparation and presentation of criminal cases before the Superior Court, the Court of Common Pleas, and in some matters before the Justice of the Peace Courts. The Criminal Division also provides legal assistance to other law enforcement agencies and administers the Victim/Witness Assistance Program. The Division is managed by the State Prosecutor, Sean Lugg, who is appointed by the Attorney General. The Criminal Division maintains offices in each of Delaware’s three counties. Each of the county offices is headed by a County Prosecutor, who is appointed by the Attorney General and reports through the State Prosecutor. In New Castle County, the office includes the Homicide Unit, New Castle County Felony Trial Unit, Wilmington Trial Unit, Child Predator Unit, Felony Screening Unit, Misdemeanor Trial Unit and Violent Criminal Enterprise Unit. In Kent and Sussex Counties the office is organized into a Felony Trial Unit, a Felony Screening Unit and a Misdemeanor Trial Unit. The Appeals Unit, Crime Strategies Unit, Domestic Violence Unit, Special Victims Unit, and Traffic Safety Unit are statewide.

Civil:

The Civil Division is responsible for providing legal services to the officers, departments, boards, agencies, commissions, and instrumentalities of State government. The State Solicitor is appointed by the Attorney General and reports through the Chief Deputy Attorney General. As set forth at 29 Del. C. § 2505 (b), the State Solicitor is responsible for all civil actions and matters wherein the State or its agencies or subdivisions are involved and has such powers as the Attorney General shall designate. The Civil Division is comprised of 60 Deputy Attorneys General and 17 administrative support staff. Presently, Aaron R. Goldstein is the State Solicitor and Ilona M. Kirshon is the Deputy State Solicitor.

Much like a private law firm, the Civil Division provides all legal advice in civil matters for the State of Delaware. The Civil Division is organized statewide into seven units: Administrative Law Education, Affirmative Litigation, Defensive Litigation, Departments Agencies, Environmental, Government Services, and Health Law.

Family:

The Family Division is responsible for areas relating to violations committed by juveniles, as well as protecting children in vulnerable situations and enforcing child support orders.

Fraud Consumer Protection:

The Fraud and Consumer Protection Division protects the public from securities fraud, consumer fraud, Medicaid provider fraud, antitrust violations, tobacco enforcement, white collar crime and misleading or deceptive business practices. It also addresses patient abuse, neglect and mistreatment in facilities that accept Medicaid patients. The Fraud Division is divided into three major, statewide units: The Consumer Protection Unit, the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, and the Investor Protection Unit. The Division is led by the Fraud Division Director, Matthew Lintner

Many times people unknowingly place themselves in danger by giving information to the wrong people. Here you can learn how to minimize your chances of becoming a victim of fraud. See our Consumer Protection Unit for tips.

Civil Rights Public Trust:

Attorney General Matt Denn created the Office of Civil Rights and Public Trust in January 2015 to provide legal firepower to ensure that these important issues are addressed and to provide a point of contact for members of the public.
