What does addiction mean #fallout #wiki,fallout,addiction,fallout,fallout #2,fallout #3,fallout #tactics: #brotherhood #of #steel,fallout: #new #vegas,fallout

#

Addiction

  • 1 Note this only applies to plain Mentats, the other variations (Berry Mentats. Orange Mentats. and Grape Mentats ) are non addictive.
  • Items not listed in this table are not addictive in Fallout 3; this includes Rad-X. RadAway. and some other substances.
  • Risk is a base chance of addiction per use, and only applies to alcohol items in Fallout 3.
  • UMON is an accumulating chance of addiction. See Usage Monitor for a detailed explanation.
  • Duration is the length of time required to pass without consuming the drug for the accumulated UMON value to be reduced.

Usage Monitor Edit

In addition to addiction chance, certain items have an additional, increasing chance of addiction with each subsequent use. Internally, this effect is referred to as the Usage Monitor Effect. or UMON. Each use of an item adds its UMON value to the total UMON value before the addiction check is performed. This value remains added to the UMON total until its specified time limit elapses, at which point it is removed from the current running total. An accumulated value of 75 appears to equate to an additional 1% chance (added on top of any existing addiction chance), while a value of 175 appears to be equivalent to a 100% chance. The specifics of the algorithm remain unclear.

Fallout: New Vegas Edit

New drugs and addiction-causing substances were added to Fallout: New Vegas . many with their own new forms of addiction. Due to the engine used in Fallout: New Vegas, addiction behaves the same as it did in Fallout 3 . It is permanent unless seen to by a doctor. Fixer will provide temporary relief from the symptoms of withdrawal. When Old World Blues is installed, the Sink Auto-Doc cures addictions for free as part of the basic physical exam. For information about UMON, risk and so on, see the appropriate Fallout 3 section.

Microsoft Offers Closer Look at Project Scorpio Dev Kit

Developer feedback helped create a stackable development kit with 24GB of RAM, a front-mounted display, and five programmable buttons.

In order for a new games console to have launch day games, developers need access to the console hardware well in advance. These development kits typically take the form of PCs, which then iteratively get updated until they match the hardware and form factor of the final console. Project Scorpio is no exception, however, Microsoft decided to ask developers what they most wanted before producing the final development kit.

In a new video produced by Team Xbox, Major Nelson sat down with Kevin Gammill from the Xbox Engineering team to discuss what additional features the Scorpio dev kit includes for developers to take advantage of.

The dev kit includes four additional compute cores, 12GB extra RAM, and an extra 1TB SSD over what the final console will ship with. Developers always need more performance headroom than what ends up shipping in the final console. That allows a game to be created and seen running on the hardware before the optimization happens, which is typically done late in a project. So by offering a higher spec for the Scorpio dev kit, Microsoft is allowing developers to take full advantage of the performance on offer rather than compromising just to get builds running early in a project.

Microsoft mounted a tiny display mounted to the front of the machine, which is complemented by five programmable buttons. According to Gammill, developers can use the screen and buttons however they like. They can output debug information, test second-screen gaming, and use those buttons to switch between display resolutions on the fly, for example.

The back of the dev kit includes an additional network port to allow for debug information to be streamed from the machine without impacting speeds on the main network port. There’s also an additional plug-in device called an Xbox Transfer Device. It allows data to be transferred to the dev kit’s internal drive at a rate of up to 450MB/s. That’s important when you want to quickly test a 50GB game, or deploy several gigabytes of patch data to an existing build several times a day.

Related

Finally, Microsoft redesigned the cooling of the dev kit to allow them to be stacked on top of each other. That way several dev kits can be installed together and setup to share a single display if the developer wishes. Such a feature will also come in handy at shows such as E3 where space is limited but you want several stands offering a sneak peak at an in-development game.

Developers already have these dev kits and Microsoft will be hoping the additional features translate into a lot of new must-have games to help sell the final Scorpio console. We’ll get a first taste of how well that is working out at E3 starting on June 13.

Project Manager Simulation Game Game Corp

Rating. 8.3 / 10 – 6053 votes

Game Corp is a highly interactive, entertaining and quirky business management simulation game for older kids, high school and college students, and grownups who enjoy online games that involve business themes and thinking strategy. In Game Corp, you take control of your very own awesome computer game development company! Starting from scratch, you have to hire good workers, manage projects, create new flash games, and gradually build your business up from a small-time, mini-game development outfit into a highly successful global corporation in the online game industry! Hire the brightest technical minds to produce fun games, choose the most popular genres, utilize fab modern technology, and have excited gamers from around the world flocking to try out your latest titles! If your games prove a success, you can sit back and watch the (virtual) money roll in!

This interesting and challenging tycoon game is a good fun activity for practicing and testing out essential real-life business skills such as good money management, shrewd decision making and strategy planning, the ability to successfully motivate employees, and general project management skills. Your masterful multi-tasking skills are called into play as you react to fluctuating game market trends, and concentrate on a number of different projects at once. While some knowledge of online flash game genres is helpful, complete beginners and tycoon game newbies should also enjoy the fast-paced, mouse-clicking action! Can your company create sufficient enchanting games to be considered for the prestigious end of year Game Developer Awards? Happy team building and game developing!

How to Play: Your goal is simply to become a profitable company by creating, developing, and publishing online games from your very own offices. You play the role of the CEO and project manager all in one, and have to hire and organize your different team members, assign them to each game project, build working facilities, choose game genres, and more. At the beginning of the game, your helpful ‘assistant’ guides you through the basic controls of the game. We recommend that you pay close attention to your assistant’s instructions, as there are numerous different aspects that you need to get to grips with.

Use your computer mouse or touchpad to perform all of the controls. At the beginning of the game, you have an office space – but no employees. Click on the empty desks / workstations, then click on the ‘Hire Worker’ button that appears. Here, you can choose from a variety of different technical game writers. Next, it’s time to get them working on creating a new game. Click on the ‘Project Manager’ button in the bottom left corner of the game screen (the blue folder icon), and then click ‘New Project’. Next, you have to choose the genre of your game (adventure, racing, shooter, simulation, strategy etc). At the beginning of the game, you don’t have enough workers to produce all of the different genres, but that changes as you hire more staff. After that, you assign your team to the different production tasks (code writing, graphics, sound etc). Each worker can only perform 2 production tasks at a time. Finally, you choose the technology ‘tool’ used to make the game.

Once your team complete the production of the game (this takes time on the clock in the top left corner), click on the ‘Project Summary’ button in the bottom left corner, then click ‘Publish’. You receive virtual income from the publication and playing of your games. At the beginning. your games are of low quality, and therefore do not generate a lot of income. However, as you progress and hire more skilled workers, your revenues should increase. Later on, you can also market your games, and choose all different types of genres. At the end of each ‘Game Year’, an award ceremony takes place. If your company wins any of these awards, you earn huge bonuses which can be used to purchase new employees, tools, and workstations. Good luck!

Best Mobile Business Simulation Games

Best Mobile Business Simulation Games

Picture 1 of 14

The mobile gaming revolution has brought just about every gaming genre — from first person shooters to war games and empire builders — to our smartphones and tablets. But not all games are about battle and conflict, with some tapping into the constructive side of your inner gamer. Business simulations, city builders and other management games let you unleash your inner mogul. Found your own mega-corporation, build a town from the ground up, or sail the high seas in search of fortune with these 12 business and management games for your mobile device.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 (iOS) ($4.99)

Picture 2 of 14

Can’t make it to your favorite theme park for the spring break? No vacation leave banked up for the near future? Well, you can still have a bit of vicarious theme park fun with Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. an iOS game that has you in charge of a theme park, managing its attractions, designing rides and keeping your visitors happy. You can even take a virtual ride on your roller coasters and rides. Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 is a full premium game, which means no pesky timers and in-app purchases to get between you and the fun.

Brass (Android, iOS)

Picture 3 of 14

A mobile port of the hit eurogame, Brass (Android. iOS ) has players taking on the role of rival industrial magnates building up their many businesses, mines and factories in a newly industrializing England. Every turn, players play cards to either build or develop industries, build rail or canal connections between locations, or take on loans, jockeying for position with other players and attempting to take advantage of their own moves. The mobile version of the boardgame features a detailed tutorial, as well as numerous features to smooth gameplay. Players can engage in local or network multiplayer games with three to four players, or pit themselves against a moderately challenging AI.

Hipster CEO (iOS) ($1.99)

Picture 4 of 14

Hipster CEO is a tongue-in-cheek parody of the startup world that puts you in the shoes of a budding entrepreneur making your way in the world. Players start out by selecting a product (such as mobile gaming, dating apps or file sharing) as well as a target market, and then you get a small amount of seed capital and an employee, and then it’s up to you to get the ball rolling. As your startup evolves, you can hire more staff and specialists, train your personnel or spruce up the office and more, all while keeping an eye on the bottom line, while courting venture capital or holding out for buyout.

Game Dev Story

Picture 5 of 14

Just as it says in the title, Game Dev Story (Android. iOS ) gives players the opportunity to craft their own story as a game developer. Granted, the “story” basically involves assigning staff members to craft a video game with stats driving the results. But it’s still fairly addictive, especially if you possess some knowledge of the video game industry and its history. This inside baseball element gives the game a lot of appeal, but what keeps you playing is that eager anticipation of results: waiting to see what your staff puts out and the fulfillment of critical praise (or the disappointment of a critical drubbing).

Transport Tycoon (Android, iOS) ($6.99)

Picture 6 of 14

Even with the addition of a modern touch UI, this is not exactly the most attractive game on our list. However, if you give it a fair shake, Transport Tycoon (Android. iOS ) will consume whole afternoons. With a business loan you need to pay soon, you’ll start buying vehicles and setting up the infrastructure on your journey to become the emperor of land, sea and air travel. Each level is a scenario with its own transportation problems to solve, but also act as open sandboxes to indulge in. If you love the freedom to experiment and have an obsession with details, Transport Tycoon is for you.

Fiz: Brewery Management Game (Android, iOS) ($1.99)

Picture 7 of 14

Beer aficionados will work up a mighty thirst with Fiz: Brewery Management Game (Android. iOS ). As head of your own micro-brewery, you start out with a tiny operation selling small batches to local stores. As you grow in experience and develop new brewing recipes, you can make a name for yourself in brewing competitions, discover larger markets and improve your facilities and staff. Behind the cute pixelated exterior and the monotonous chiptune is a decent stat engine that allows you to fiddle with the quality of your beer, track sales figures and feedback, and run market research in your quest to become a powerhouse brewery.

Cook, Serve, Delicious (Android, iOS) ($3.99/$4.99)

Picture 8 of 14

A different take on the business sim genre, Cook, Serve, Delicious! (Android. iOS ) demands business savvy and nimbleness. As the manager of an up and coming restaurant in a rundown business tower, you’ll serve and prepare food, flush toilets, wash dishes and more. In between opening hours, you’ll be buying food, upgrading equipment and improving your restaurant. ‘Menu rot’ will require you to keep things fresh by rotating items in and out of the menu. And when the day starts, you’ll be swiping meat cuts, tapping ingredients and pressing down drink levers. Cook, Serve, Delicious serves up a variety of things to do to make for a business sim that’s never dull.

Wizards Wagons (Android, iOS) ($4.99)

Picture 9 of 14

Ancient evils have been defeated and peace has returned to the land. As the land’s resident Hero, you’re now out of a job, and the only way to make a living is to buy low and sell high. Wizards Wagons (Android. iOS ) is a tongue-in-cheek combination of trading game, tower defense and RPG as players travel through the land’s many settlements in order to buy and sell goods, upgrade their wagon and gear, and take on odd jobs and quests from the world’s many strange inhabitants. Besides the trading, players have to manage space on their wagons, as well as fend off attacks by bandits and monsters as they travel down the road to wealth.

Star Traders RPG (Android, iOS) (Free)

Picture 10 of 14

Following in the tradition of games like Elite and Privateer, the Trese brothers’ Star Traders RPG (Android. iOS ) sees you as an interstellar merchant trying to earn a buck through honest trading or pawning the loot you win from fighting other ships. The game is nominally an RPG with its level-based accumulation of character abilities and turn-based space combat. Still, it’s the galactic economy that forms the game’s meat and potatoes. It’s a unique combination that will have you shooting and looting for a long time, despite the game ‘s lack of audio and visual polish .

A Story of A Band (Android, iOS) ($2.57/$1.99)

Picture 11 of 14

A Story of A Band (Android. iOS ) casts you as a disgruntled musician looking to gain revenge against other bands by becoming a band manager. By imparting your rocking wisdom to young musicians, you hope to show everyone up. The game is more in depth than you’d expect. You recruit band members, choose a music style and invest a lot of time and money in improving skills and purchasing gear long before you can start being even recognized by the press. Sustaining the kind of momentum you need to get big is challenging, but battles with other bands is the most rewarding chunk of this game.

Football Manager Mobile 2016 (Android, iOS) ($8.99)

Picture 12 of 14

As much a business sim as it is a sports game, Sega’s Football Manager Mobile 2016 (Android. iOS ) puts you in the manager’s seat rather than right on the pitch, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less challenging than any tycoon game. Players will need to carefully manage their personnel and roster, deciding on coaching styles, configure your team’s tactics, all while trying to please fans and owners, as well as keeping an eye on funding and the bottom line. A more detailed (and pricier) version, Football Manager Touch 2016 (Android. iOS ), includes a more advanced match engine, more features, and cross-platform saves between the desktop and mobile versions.

The Westport Independent

Picture 13 of 14

Taking inspiration from Papers Please, The Westport Independent (Android. iOS ) is both a political parable and business sim that puts you behind the editor’s desk of a newspaper carefully dancing the fine line between telling the truth, selling newspapers, and appeasing the censors of the Loyalist Party. Each week, players choose a variety of stories to feature, as well as edit their content to make it more palatable, appealing, accurate or salacious. Once you’ve set your layout, fixed your advertising, and sent it to the presses, sit back and pay attention to how your staff writers react, as well as check out the mail, propaganda, and thinly-veiled threats from censors and readers. Can you avoid being shut down by the Loyalists? And can you shape the fate of Westport with the power of the news?
