Do you have them?

Find An Exterminator – If you think you do have termites, it’s extremely hard to get rid of them on your own. On this page, you can fill out a quick form and get price quotes from exterminators in your area for inspections, preventative treatments, or elimination of existing colonies in your home. You can also get quotes on inspections for real estate sales (i.e., if you’re thinking of buying a place and want it checked out first).

Pictures of Termites – Some more photos to help you identify them.

How to do a Termite Inspection – This page covers how to do a termite inspection yourself, the signs of termites, links to pictures of what to look for and pictures of termites, as well as the basics about getting a professional inspection done.

Basic Information About Termites:

Termite Colonies – Information on the social structure of termites, and how a colony is formed and functions.

Damage from Termites – Info on what kind of damage you can expect if your home has termites.

Keep in mind – there are other bugs that also eat wood and can mimic the signs of a termite infestation. You need to consider the possibility that you’ve got one of those instead – especially if you’re seeing stuff that looks like sawdust. Here’s some info on the common ones:

Kinds of Termites:

Flying Termites – This is what people see most commonly and what often prompts a call to the exterminator. It is a caste used solely for reproducing and founding new nests, and is not a different species.

Drywood Termites – This is a specific species of termite that lives in wood, and does not burrow into the soil. They have to be treated differently from the regular kind, because baits and other methods will not work on them.

Subterranean Termites – This is the most common kind, and it lives all throughout the United States.

Formosan Termites – An imported type, this one comes from Asia and lives mainly in the South in the U.S. – it is very damaging to property and can destroy your home much more quickly than other varieties.

Termites florida

Termite Protection A list of different ways you can try to prevent termites from infesting your home in the first place. Some of these are natural and non-chemical, so it’s a good place to start if you want to minimize pesticide use.

General Ways to Kill Termites:

1) Liquid Termite Treatment – Liquid termiticides are sprayed around your house to kill or repel any termites coming into contact with them.

2) Termite Baits – The other major way to kill termites, baits are placed around your home and gradually kill off a colony by spreading small amounts of pesticides through the workers.

3) Borate Termite Treatment – Borate treatments are applied directly to wood in your house, sort of like a coat of paint. This is best done when the house is being constructed, however.

4) Fumigation – A method that only works on a specific species, the drywood termite, that is common in the Southernmost parts of the United States.

5) Electrocution – This is an option for treating localized drywood termite problems.

7) Cooling – Using liquid nitrogen, some companies will treat localized drywood termite infestations this way.

Florida Bodily Injury – Answers about how things work, in plain English, after a

Florida Bodily Injury

Understanding how Florida bodily injury works will help you understand how you will get your medical care covered for your injuries. All states have requirements for the type of car insurance you are required to purchase in order to drive.

In Florida, drivers are NOT required to purchase Bodily Injury Liability. Drivers are required to purchase Personal Injury Protection (PIP), and Property Damage Liability.

Injured In An Accident?

FREE Evaluation of your claim.

Personal Injury Protection – (PIP)

Whether you are responsible for the accident or not, your own insurance company will pay for the medical expenses and loss of wages for you and your passengers. To understand in more detail how PIP works, return to this page, Understanding How PIP works- getting your medical care paid for.

After a car accident in Florida it is very important that you call your own insurance company to report the accident, even if you know the other driver was at fault.

Before calling your company, look over at this page, Car Accident Claim – 10 Essential Claim Tips to help you have the best outcome with your claim.

Bodily Injury Liability

Because this coverage is NOT required in Florida, your own insurance company will pay for your medical expenses through your PIP coverage. If your PIP coverage is not large enough for your injuries, your case may become complicated. At this point, it is time to seek the services of an attorney.

Property Damage Liability

This liability covers you if your car damages someone else’s property. This means damage to their car, or their property, such as crashing into someone’s fence, or if you crash into their home. Like Bodily Injury Liability, Property Damage Liability coverage will provide legal protection to you if you are sued after the accident.

Who Was At Fault

Florida is a No Fault State. This means that your insurance company will pay for your medical bills regardless of who was at fault in the accident. After a car accident in Florida call your own insurance company, even if the other driver was at fault, as your medical claims will come from your own insurance through PIP.

After a car accident in Florida it is very important that you call your own insurance company to report the accident, even if you know the other driver was at fault.

Florida uses a Pure Comparative Fault rule, which means that an injured person can recover damages, even if the injured person was 99% at fault. However, the recovery will be reduced by amount of fault.

Determining who is at fault after a car accident is complicated and cannot be sorted out online. Your insurance company will help you with this.

Florida Statute of Limitations

The Statute of Limitations means that you must file a lawsuit or close or settle your case within your state time limits. The time clock starts on the day of the car accident.

Property Damage: 4 years

Anyone did the indiana state university LPN to BSN online? Or have any info?

Anyone did the indiana state university LPN to BSN online? Or have any info.

I am currently a BSN student with ISU, and I must say my experience has been great. I want too say too those who are not good at taking online classes this program is NOT for you. I am finishing up my first semester now, I took two classes LVN to RN as well as Physical Assessment class. It was alot of work, but all it takes is time management and you can get the work done.

You must have all your pre req complete before applying to the nursing program then you must complete the 4 nursing modules as well as the ATI TEAS exam. All the information is on on the ISU Nursing web site.

Kgeiger1 and I are of the same mind. Distant learning is not for everying. It is rigorous and requires committment. You are in nursing school; just because you are in distant learning does not make the program any easier. In fact, it may be even more rigorous.

The decision to enter into the program should not be taken lightly. You must have time to study, do all the assigned reading work, papers, and exams. every week. The program expects that you are a nurse, have previous nursing knowledge, and able to do the same work as any regular BSN student in the same class in the ISU campus.

Welcom aboard KG1.

Thanks for the input and info on ISU’s LVN/LPN to BSN program. I am BSN student at ISU and am just finishing my first semester. The program is very good. As others have said, it does require a lot of self discipline and use of goof time management skills. I think the eduction is very similar, if not the exact same, as what you would receive in a ‘in class’ BSN program. The only flaw with the program, from my experience, is that you must maintain your LPN or LVN license while completing clinicals. When I started ISU’s BSN program I was living in CA and working as a LVN. I received my LVN license through CA’s military challenge option, as I was a prior Corpsman. I’ve recently move to WI, and found out that WI will not let me transfer my LVN license here, because I did not attend an accredited LPN/LVN program. So now, I may not be able to continue in ISU’s program because I will not be able to get a WI LPN license. This seems very odd to me. If was not a LPN/LVN and applied to any BSN program as a generic entry student, I would participate in clinicals as a BSN student, not as a LPN/LVN. Very frustrating to say the least.

Im completing the prereqs as what ISU wants but I am having difficulty trying to find a proctor for exams. Does anyone know of a proctor service that is provided in California?
BTW, its great to hear that you are enjoying the program so far, gives me confidence that I am going in the right direction. I also had distance learning in the past and am very comfortable with it.

We are primarily responsible for the state’s estimated $25.2 billion Medicaid program that will serve a projected 4.27 million Floridians in SFY 2016-17, the licensure of the state’s 48,500 health care facilities and the sharing of health care data through the Florida Center for Health Information and Policy Analysis.

This year we are working to continue to reduce the number of uninsured across the state, to enhance our ability to target fraudulent providers, to reduce unnecessary regulation, and to reduce administrative costs in order to ensure that dollars go to serve patients and more.
