Small Business – Province of British Columbia, small business resources.#Small #business #resources
We aim to support small business, improve investment readiness and encourage economic development and competitiveness through the development of programs, initiatives, publications and resources designed to break down barriers to doing business in British Columbia.
Small Business is Big Business in British Columbia
Entrepreneurial drive and spirit are hallmarks of the B.C. culture. This is represented in the fact that 98% of all businesses in the province are small businesses, having fewer than 50 employees and employing over one million people.
Our province s ability to compete with other jurisdictions as a desirable place to live, invest and do business is dependent on enhancing and supporting our small business sector.
In support of the BC Small Business Accord and its principles the Small Business Branch works closely with other governments, ministries and private-sector organizations to help foster a progressive business culture where government initiatives support current and future generations of small business owners across B.C.
