Calling all TAGME members! As the discussion to reinstate Specialty Certification
continues, we are seeking to collect input and suggestions for consideration at the
Board of Director s meeting in August. Watch your email (or check your Spam folder)
for a an email with the subject line Specialty Survey . Please complete the survey only
once. Responses are anonymous and will be collected until 6/10/17.
Certification candidates: dates have been adjusted to
complete the 2017 TAGME Certifying Assessment (CA)
from June 1st until 11:59 PM (Eastern) on July 31st.
We regret any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
The 2017 application window for Initial and Maintenance
ofCertification is now closed. Applications for 2018 certification
will be available on November 1, 2017. An updated applications
FAQ will be available on October 1, 2017.
CONGRATULATIONS to our 2016 New and Re-Certified TAGME members!
In the first year offering Global Certification, we are thrilled to report 149 candidates have successfully
achieved initial TAGME certification and an additional 45 current members have renewed their
C-TAGME status through 2021. Our membership now exceeds 1100 training administrators,
coordinators, managers and administrative DIOs in ACGME/AOA graduate medical education programs.
TAGME Members Named to New ACGME Committee
Congratulations to Sherry Bucholz, C-TAGME (Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center), Renda S. Chubb, C-TAGME (University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine), Shannon H. Darrah, C-TAGME (Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, and Annette Lemire, C-TAGME (Mayo Clinic College of Medicine) for their recent appointment to the inaugural ACGME Coordinator s Advisory Group! Selected from almost 200 applications, they will serve as consultants (with nine additional colleagues) on issues related to the program administrator and coordinator roles within the accreditation process.

The application window for 2017 certification will open 1/1/2017.
Julia Panzo and Tammy Stallings have been named recipients of the 2016 ACGME Award for GME Program Coordinator Excellence for their in-depth understanding of the accreditation process, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and projects to improve residency programs. They will be honored at the upcoming ACGME Annual Education Conference in National Harbor, MD in March, 2016.

TAGME has certified graduate medical education professionals since 2005. During this time, many changes have developed in GME, and in August at the Annual TAGME Board of Directors meeting, TAGME moved in a direction that will allow our GME community to keep pace with these changes.

TAGME Continues to Move Forward
As the leader in certification for GME professionals since 2005, TAGME is acutely aware of and strives to keep pace with the evolution of graduate medical education. Along with changes to the certification process, TAGME has also modified its leadership structure. To ensure appropriate representation for all TAGME-certified coordinators, including those who will be globally certified, the leadership framework has been redesigned to reflect the ACGME Review Committee structure. Vision. The National Board for Certification of Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education programs has been created to establish standards for the profession, to acknowledge the expertise needed to successfully manage graduate medical education programs, and to recognize training program administrators who have achieved competence in all fields of their profession.
